The Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kochi

Arrive in Kochi, a historic port city shaped by centuries of cultural exchange and coastal charm. After your private airport transfer, settle into your heritage hotel and take time to unwind after the journey.

In the evening, gather with the group for a welcome dinner by the pool, marking the beginning of your Kerala experience.

Day 2 - Culture & Traditions in Kochi

Discover Kochi through its rich blend of cultures, shaped by Portuguese, Dutch and British influences. Wander through the historic streets of Fort Kochi on a heritage tour, visit iconic landmarks and explore vibrant spice markets.

Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local home before experiencing a Kathakali dance performance, where storytelling comes alive through expressive movement, music and ritual.

Day 3 - Into the Tea Hills of Munnar

Leave the coast behind and journey inland toward the lush highlands of Munnar. As the scenery shifts from tropical landscapes to rolling hills covered in tea plantations, the rhythm of the journey becomes quieter and more reflective.

Upon arrival, settle into your hilltop retreat and enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature, fresh mountain air and expansive valley views.

Day 4 - Tea & Artisan Traditions

Spend the day exploring one of Kerala’s most iconic traditions: tea. Visit tea plantations, enjoy tastings and learn more about the process behind this beloved regional product.

Later, continue into local markets and enjoy free time for shopping before taking part in a hands-on textile workshop that supports artisan communities and offers a meaningful connection to Kerala’s craftsmanship and creative heritage.

Day 5 - Journey to Periyar

Continue your journey through Kerala’s changing landscapes as you travel toward Periyar, a region known for its biodiversity, forests and fragrant spice plantations. Enjoy a scenic transfer as the surroundings gradually shift closer to nature and a slower pace of travel.

Upon arrival, check into your eco-conscious retreat and enjoy time to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature in peaceful surroundings.

Day 6 - Nature & Spice Plantations

Begin the day on the calm waters of Periyar Lake with a boat safari surrounded by forest and wildlife-rich landscapes. As you glide across the lake, take in the quiet atmosphere and keep an eye out for animals along the shores, with the possibility of spotting animals such as elephants, deer, wild boar, monkeys and a variety of birdlife.

Later, walk through fragrant spice plantations and discover the origins of Kerala’s most iconic flavors, from cardamom and pepper to other aromatic local spices.

Day 7 - Backwaters & Coastal Escape

Travel to Alleppey and board a traditional houseboat for a leisurely cruise through Kerala’s iconic backwaters.

As you glide through the canals, witness the quiet rhythm of daily life along the water, from locals going about their routines to farmers working the rice fields. A traditional Kerala lunch is prepared and served on board.

After tea, disembark and continue with a coastal transfer to Marari, where you check into your beachside resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 - Wellness & Village Life

Begin the day with a gentle morning yoga session, inviting a sense of calm and presence.

Continue with a guided village experience rooted in Kerala’s Responsible Tourism initiative, offering insight into local traditions and daily life.

Later, visit a local farmhouse for a cooking demonstration followed by a traditional Kerala Syrian Christian meal. The afternoon is yours to relax at leisure at the beach resort before enjoying a 60-minute Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage.

  • You should fly into and out of Kochi, Kerala. The closest and most convenient airport is Cochin International Airport (COK).
